With the launch of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy, Ethiopia has pivoted toward proactive cyber defense. In early 2026, the Information Network Security Administration (INSA) reported a 99% success rate in thwarting over 27,000 cyberattacks, highlighting its maturing technical capabilities. The nation is currently establishing a 24/7 National Cybersecurity Operations Centre and a Sovereign Cloud to protect government data.
