Black Reward — Hacktivist Profile

Black Reward is an Iranian anti-regime hacktivist collective that emerged on Telegram and Twitter/X in late September 2022 amid the nationwide protests following Mahsa Amini's death. It is best known for breaching the email systems of the Nuclear Power Production and Development Company, a subsidiary of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI), in October 2022, threatening to leak nuclear-program documents unless the government released political prisoners within 24 hours, and then following through when the deadline passed, releasing roughly 27-50GB of data (tens of thousands of emails, contracts, Bushehr power plant blueprints and operating schedules, and staff/passport details). The group has also claimed intrusions against state broadcaster Press TV, the IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency, and the Iranian bill-payment app Hafhashtad, framing its actions as support for the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protest movement.
