Togo — Cyber Threat Profile

Togo's National Agency for Cybersecurity (ANCy) is implementing the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2024-2028, published May 2024 to position Togo as a regional cybersecurity leader. On August 28, 2025, ANCy and the Togo Digital Agency launched certification training for 250 Togolese IT professionals in ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO 27035 Lead Incident Manager and CompTIA Security+, backed by Germany, Luxembourg and the EU via GIZ's ProDigiT project. A December 2025 ANCy media briefing flagged phishing, ransomware, deepfakes, fraud and information manipulation as current threats. At Togo IT Days in Lomé (August 12-13, 2026), ANCy's director general stressed regulation of Essential Service Operators and said cybersecurity is everyone's business, resting equally on technology, governance, training and infrastructure modernization.
