Seychelles — Cyber Threat Profile
Seychelles' national cyber capability is recent: the Department of ICT launched CERT-SC, the country's national CERT, on 30 July 2025 to monitor threats across critical information infrastructure. In March 2025, the Commonwealth Secretariat and UK FCDO trained more than 70 Seychellois judges, prosecutors and investigators on cybercrime law and digital evidence. Financial services remain the highest-value target: in July 2025, Seychelles Commercial Bank disclosed a breach exposing customer names, addresses, dates of birth and account balances, prompting an internet-banking suspension and an extortion attempt.
