Iraq — Cyber Threat Profile

Iraq's 2026 posture is defined by the implementation of its first National Cybersecurity Strategy and the newly proposed Law on the Right to Access Information. The strategy prioritizes the protection of the vital hydrocarbons infrastructure, which remains vulnerable to cyber-disruption. Managed by the Ministry of Interior, efforts are focused on upgrading legacy digital architecture and establishing a national Cybersecurity Center.
